1.a) I rate it a 8
b) I give this rating because I have learned so many new things and I’ve enjoyed blogging with Cpl. Hamelin. Looking at what she has done and how lucky we are as a class to blog with her.
2. a) I’ll give it a 7 ½
3. I give it this rate because even though the book was amazing I did also enjoy lit circles, it was kind of hard to catch up to everybody, and know what chapter we were all on. But in all it was a really fun experience.
4. The benefits of this were that I learned how to look at different perspectives and I got to write a lot about the book, I love writing and it was fun doing the lit circles. The challenges I faced was to stay on track with everyone. Sometimes I would fall behind, so I would have to get my homework done in time.
5.I absolutely love the smart board. It was a lot of help for Ms. Stewart-Mitchell. It was a lot of fun because of all the neat things it could do. It was cool because it was something our whole class could use. also it meant that we didn’t need to keep using white board markers and getting new one, the smart boards markers never run out of ink.
6. Benefits with the smart board are that we didn’t have to go to a computer to look at a video, we just got to sit in our desks and watch from the smart board. Another one is that she could show us here documents and copy just from there. Challenges with the smart board was writing, you would have to get use to it first and also that it would take awhile to boot up.

1.a) I would give it a 8 ½
b) I give it a 8 ½ because it was good that we could do it from home even though you gave us class time. But it was sort of a pain to remember we had to. It wasn’t that bad, though.
2.I give it a 6 ¾.
3.I gave it 6 ¾ because some of the roles we got were sort of confusing, and also the book I read, The Giver, was sort of confusing to follow and the climax wasn’t that exhilarating, either.
4.The benefits were knowing that a society could actually be controlling their citizens. Challenges were trying to keep up with the book – it was sort of confusing.
5.It helped us learn better by interacting with it and having the gadgets already there instead of having Ms. Stewart-Mitchell go out and bother other classrooms so we could borrow them. Also, if a student is missing one day and the teacher teaches a new lesson, instead of explaining it and rewriting it again on the computer, she has it saved and can easily show the said student. It’s helped us learn in a new and exciting way that is never dull.
6.Like I said, if a student is missing, they can quickly catch up instead of falling back even more. Also, instead of all of us having to cram up to a small computer screen to watch a video, we can just stay in our seats and watch it from the SMART board. A challenge would be just getting use to writing on it, like when you mess up writing something and when you go back to fix it, it doesn’t match up and then the whole thing looks all gibbled.

Lowest 1 – 10 Best
my expierince blogging with cpl.Hamlin is at a 10

2. Rate your Blogging Experience with the ELA Dystopian Novel Lit Circles Unit.
Lowest 1 – 10 Best
I give this a 9 out of 10
3. For Question #2, why do you give this rating?
I liked doing the ELA dystopian novel assignments on kigblog because I dont like writting notes, and It was a lot more exciting doing the assignments with technology, but sometimes if you hand it in a bit late Stewie can know exacly at what time you handed it in.
4. For Question #2, state your thoughts on: What were the benefits? What were the challenges?
The benifit is that we dont need to write on paper and we dont need notes, everything, all the questions are for the assignment you can find on kidblog. The challanges were learning how to use kidblog but after a few times you learn how to manage your way through it.
5. How did having the SMART board in the classroom impact your learning?
Having a SMART board is awesome! the notes are there on the giant screan, and when you didn’t finish writting down the notes Stewie will put them on her blog so there are no worries. This has impacted my learning because you can interact with the board, and it makes it a lot better to write insteade of always having to look at a marker which might not have any ink, and may be faint.
6. What were the benefits of the SMART board (reference examples please)? What were the challenges??
the benefits of the SMART board is that if you dont finish writting down the notes Stewie will almost always copy them into her blog, and the challanges can be reading what she sometimes writes with the marker.

I didn’t really enjoy all the writing.
2. Rate your Blogging Experience with the ELA Dystopian Novel Lit Circles Unit.

3. For Question #2, why do you give this rating?
- AWEEEEEEEEEESOOOOOOME but then again, I hated the writing. I know
Mrs. Stewart-Mitchell did more work but I’m not really a fan of writing.
Over all, the ELA Dystopian Novel Lit Circles Unit was one of my favorite units we’ve had
the whole year and I really enjoyed my novel. TEAMPEETA!! :D
4. For Question #2, state your thoughts on: What were the benefits?
What were the challenges?
- I had group mates and we’re all reading the same book.
It was like having a book club. It was beneficial to have group mates
because I had the chance to share my thoughts and express my feelings.
The challenges were that we had so much homework. Every week we had to do
two new blog posts and I had a hard time understanding what needs to be done.
But in the end, it was all worth it. Like what I said, I loved the book. J
5. How did having the SMART board in the classroom impact your learning?
Having a SMART board in the classroom impacted my learning in a good way
because we got to watch videos together as a class and also do things on the internet.
We probably wouldn’t have all of these (blogging, glogging, etc) if we didn’t have the
SMART board in class. One of my favorite thingsabout the SMART board is that we get to
play games during recess and watch videos. :P
6. What were the benefits of the SMART board (reference examples please)?
What were the challenges??
The SMART board was beneficial because it’s great for demonstration.
I learned things better because Mrs. Stewart-Mitchell taught us using the SMART board.
I think our class is very lucky to have a SMART board.

Lowest 1 – 10 Best
b) Why do you give this rating?- 9 – I really enjoyed learning new stuff with Cpl. Hamelin and
looking at pictures that she had posted on the blog .
That’s why I would give a 9/10 .
2. Rate your Blogging Experience with the ELA
Dystopian Novel Lit Circles Unit.
Lowest 1 – 10 Best
- For the ELA Dystopian Novel Lit Circles Unit, I found it very fun
because I liked how we could just go on the blog to see what the other
members did, instead of just always getting in groups and talking about it
or showing what we did . On the blog, it made the ELA Dystopian Unit much easier .
So I give it an 8/10
3. For Question #2, why do you give this rating?
- I answered this question on question 2 .
4. For Question #2, state your thoughts on: What were the benefits?
What were the challenges?- The challenges for doing the Dystopian unit on the blog was probably
posting the assignments on time . Since Mrs. Stewart-Mitchell can see whether
we did the assignment or not . Some benefits that I liked were probably
that some of us were able to relate to the novel that we read and probably
how other people in the class can see what you had written for your response .
5. How did having the SMART board in the classroom impact your learning?- Having the SMART board in the classroom helped a lot of the time for when
we’re answering questions all together as a class or when Mrs. Stewart-Mitchell
is showing us an example for math. It really helped me because when we needed
to copy out some notes, Mrs. Stewart-Mitchell would just type it up and it would
easy for everyone in the classroom to copy out and read .
6. What were the benefits of the SMART board (reference examples please)?
What were the challenges??
- Some Challenges that I found with the SMART board would probably
be when Mrs. Stewart-Mitchell would write on the smart board with the marker
and everything would look sorta messed . Haha . Or when the computer freezes .
Lowest 1 – 10 Best

I would rate my experience of blogging as a 9.
b) Why do you give this rating?
I’d rate it this because I learned so much from all the blogs. They had tons of wonderful information on them and lots of funny stories. I really enjoyed all the both reading and responding to the blogs, they were so interesting and I liked learning about all the things going on there.
2. Rate your Blogging Experience with the ELA Dystopian Novel Lit Circles Unit.Lowest 1 – 10 Best
I would rate this experience as an 8.
3. For Question #2, why do you give this rating?
I would give the Dystopian Novel Lit Circles Unit an 8 because, it was very interactive. We got to present our assignments in creative and exciting ways, we did lots of reading and even got research things relating to the topics of the books.
4. For Question #2, state your thoughts on: What were the benefits? What were the challenges?
The benefits were being able to see everything we needed to because it was on the blogs, and being able to learn how to better deeply connect with the dystopian themes. We were also able to learn how different and diverse the two countries were form each other. We learned so much about both dystopian themes and Cpl. Hamelin’s misssion.

Having the SMART board in the classroom impacted my learning in a positive way. The SMART board was a very interactive and fun experience and got us used to technology.
6. What were the benefits of the SMART board (reference examples please)? What were the challenges??
The benefits of having the SMART board in the classroom were having Stewie being able to show us anything she wanted together, and quickly. It always gave us access to the internet and the tools we needed if we had questions about an online assignment. The SMART board was an awesome way to get us involved and show us new things.
KENNETH
1.
a) 9 out of 10.
b) Though blogging with a person in a country that is very dangerous is exciting. But the blogging and commenting can get tedious as the things you were going to say are already said by other people and you do not want to sound like a copier. But really it was a joy to write and read to Cpl. Hamelin.
2. 8 out of 10.
3. It was good to read the dystopian books and the blogging and projects are alright, but when working in the group circle, many of the group members do not stay on topic or are not even there. In the end it all worked out and the subject was successful to most.
4. The benefits of the project was that we understand what the world would be if it was not taken care of, if we had super corrupt governments and if we turn against each other in a big way. The challenges were to handle the reality of dystopia on our planet. It made me realize that dystopia is not at all fiction.
5. Having the SMART board in class made learning subjects easier and faster.
6. The benefits of the SMART board are that it can give videos to make us understand things more; we don’t have to get handouts as sometimes we just use the SMART board for it and it is better to use than the white board when you are called over to answer a question. The challenges are none for me, the SMART is the best and it is fun to use, so no challenges for me.

b) Why do you give this rating?
I gave 10!!! because… I learn so much stuff about Sudan and the referendum thing, I also learned that there are places where a vote is so important to them because in some countries, people don’t care about voting stuff. TEN!!!
3. For Question #2, why do you give this rating?
I gave TEN!!! because doing this ELA Dystopian Novel Lit Circle is so exciting. It also made me to have more interest in books unlike before. I also realize that reading books is a nice thing to do if you have free time. I also like the idea that we’re not just reading a book but in the same time we’re expanding our knowledge about answering questions. Reading books is a really nice thing to do.
4. For Question #2, state your thoughts on: What were the benefits? What were the challenges?
Benefits… like I said in question 3, it expands your knowledge and you learn something new. Some challenges that I faced are, you need to finish it in time, you need to be focus on what you’re doing, you need to do every steps or answer every questions that is needed and you need to read the novel continuously. But I don’t think that will be a problem if you really like the book/novel your reading.
5. How did having the SMART board in the classroom impact your learning? What were the benefits of the SMART board (reference examples please)? What were the challenges??
Having a smart board in the classroom makes my learning better, mostly in math. The teacher can do visuals better, she can save her works and she can explain the same thing again without wasting to much time writing. It also helps me in other subjects like science. Science is kinda hard to understand without visual but SMART board makes it easier. You can search videos realting to the topic to have a better understanding. Having the SMART board is maybe the best thing that you must have in a classroom.
